Job summary

GEP Worldwide is seeking a Senior Sourcing Lead for Knowledge Services in São Paulo. You will partner with clients and internal teams to plan and execute strategic sourcing initiatives using a multi-step process.

You will manage complex sourcing projects, translate requirements into statements of work, negotiate with suppliers, onboard vendors, and ensure compliance with client standards while driving performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of expertise in strategic sourcing.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of large-scale centralized purchasing.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written). Spanish is a plus.

What You Will Do

At GEP, we are looking to continue our growth trajectory by expanding our talented managed services team. As a Sr. Sourcing Lead, you will partner with our client and internal teams and manage the planning and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives using a multi-step sourcing process.

• Execute complex and strategic sourcing projects of categories/sub-categories to include: translating business requirements into clear statements of Work, solicits bids, leads auctions.
• Prepare negotiation scripts and negotiate with suppliers, make recommendations, help on-board, qualifies and contracts with new vendor and ensures compliance
• Apply and translate business expertise to breakthrough thinking that significantly impacts the clients long-term strategic position, thought leaders
• Manage and optimize functional sourcing support activities while ensuring adherence to clients' corporate standards.
• Engage with internal & external business partners to ensure that decisions are based on the broad scope of the organization and achieve optimum daily execution
• Manage project allocation, support team members and share best practices
• Monitor performance satisfaction, ensuring all SLAs accountable for are met and drive continuous improvement initiatives, participate in recruitment
• Support category managers with category strategy plans, sourcing execution; support category planning and strategic sourcing tasks
• Leverage the GEP network of Category Experts and tools, to deliver insights to any project/client

What You Should Bring

• Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Science, Business or Engineering or similar stream or a combination of relevant experience.
• Experience: 5-7 years of expertise in strategic sourcing. Knowledge of the principles and practices of large-scale centralized purchasing.
• Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written). Spanish is a plus.

Other Skills

• You should possess strong sourcing skills, including sourcing methodology and process, e-Sourcing technology, RFX development and management.
• Familiarity with various best practice sourcing approaches and techniques.
• You should have the ability to facilitate a total cost ownership discussion with a client team and identify total cost elements.
• Strong ability to handle client issues and escalations with sensitivity and diligence, eliminating a need for further escalation.
• Proficiency in using e-Sourcing tools.
• Excellent project management skills including project planning, time management, multitasking and critical path definition.
• Strong customer service orientation including demonstrated communication during issue resolution and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to learn and master client specific processes, terminology, political environment, systems and unique requirements by various business groups.
• Solid decision-making and problem-solving ability using available facts in sensitive client situations
