Description

Amazon is seeking a motivated candidate to develop innovative solutions and manage our transportation network compounded by 3P carriers. As a Transportation Specialist, you will have to:

1. Manage, analyze, and improve performance metrics;
2. Receive sales forecasts and transportation projects to understand any adjustments in the first mile chain;
3. Support 3P operations daily, identify improvement opportunities, and manage business improvements;
4. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand upstream and downstream process or technology dependencies critical to successful execution of program goals;
5. Continuously seek to improve processes and unblock bottlenecks;
6. Maintain and update all relevant process documentation and communicate to ensure compliance;
7. Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers;
8. Generate and analyze reports;
9. Work closely with 3P to solve daily operational issues;
10. Define network support parameters such as Transit Times, Rate Cards, Operational Costs, and Performance;
11. Support the team in documenting transportation flows to ensure clarity;
12. Lead and/or support expansion projects related to Speed and Process Improvement.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related technical or quantitative field
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment processes, and timelines
• Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading)
• Program or project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write detailed requirement documents
• Advanced data analysis skills for data-driven decision making
• Experience in Python programming
