- Receive and analyze purchase requisitions, verifying authorization, specifications, and actual business need
- Request quotations, negotiate, and purchase materials, services, and equipment, seeking the best total cost of ownership, quality, and lead-time conditions
- Prepare, discuss, and select contract structures
- Issue purchase orders through the system and follow up on deliveries
- Identify, develop, register, and support the qualification and approval of domestic and international suppliers
- Analyze suppliers, market demand, reports, statistics, price trends, and import volumes and domestic production
- Monitor price fluctuations in financial and international markets and plan future purchases
- Negotiate freight and transportation contracts
- Monitor inventory and balances of materials and inputs and prepare control reports
- Analyze tax and commercial documents, resolve discrepancies, and record transactions in the system
- Register and update supplier and service provider information
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
- Develop and update procurement and supply controls, reports, and KPIs/infographics
- Support and manage contracts, including approvals, expirations, scope, physical versus financial control, and accounting/financial integration, using the Themis system
- Monitor performance indicators such as savings, payment terms, on-time performance, contract and project management, lifecycle, value, and satisfaction
- Communicate contract and service performance and follow up on deliveries
- Lead strategic projects and implement improvements to reduce costs, lead times, and process inefficiencies
- Report procurement opportunities to leadership and propose solutions
- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional meetings
- Monitor actual versus budgeted spending and report variances
- Support suppliers and internal teams by answering questions about procurement and supply management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum experience in Procurement/Supply Chain, working with direct and indirect materials and services and/or fleet operations, including the development of new domestic and international suppliers
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of tax invoice regulations and procedures and new supplier development
- Advanced English
- Willingness and availability to reside in Uberaba, MG
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in Procurement, Foreign Trade, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred
- Previous experience with import/export, fleet management, futures markets/fertilizer trading desks, the biological products market, and knowledge of the fertilizer, seed, or crop protection sectors preferred
- Experience with or knowledge of ERP systems, Power BI, and supply chain intelligence preferred
- Fluent English preferred
- Intermediate Spanish preferred
