Employment Type: Full-time

About Solen Software Group

Solen Software Group is an evergreen holding company that acquires and operates proven software businesses that have significant growth potential in a variety of vertical markets, enabling them to be market leaders in their niche industry. Solen owns several software companies in various market spaces: Human Resource Technology, Fleet Telematics, Asset Management, E-Health, Document Management, and other innovative software solutions in a variety of industries. Solen is backed by a group of advisors and investors that have built software businesses of material scale (10-100M in ARR) and advised many.

About this Opportunity

The LATAM Group Leader is a senior operating and investing leader responsible for building Solen’s Latin American presence into a scaled, durable acquisition and value-creation engine.

As leader, you will:

  1. Nurture founder relationships over long arcs, building trust and driving partnership momentum.

  2. Lead value creation planning during confirmatory due diligence, translating diligence into practical, owner-grade execution plans.

  3. Execute value creation post-close, directly influencing operating performance and long-term compounding outcomes.

  4. Manage the productivity and quality output of full-time LATAM origination professionals, while owning accountability for the post-close performance of Latin American investments.

Success requires a rare combination of founder credibility, operating depth in vertical software, and the ability to deploy capital and drive results through people, systems, and cadence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Founder Partnership & Relationship Leadership

    • Serve as Solen’s senior representative across Latin America with founder-led and family-owned software businesses.

    • Build deep relationships rooted in trust, integrity, and long-term alignment—positioning Solen as the preferred partner.

    • Lead high-quality discovery and ongoing dialogue focused on founder objectives, succession, growth constraints, governance preferences, and cultural fit.

    • Maintain momentum across long relationship arcs through structured follow-up, insight-driven engagement, and clear next steps.

  2. Origination Leadership (LATAM Team Productivity)

    • Lead and performance-manage LATAM origination professionals: activity quality, targeting discipline, messaging standards, and conversion performance.

    • Establish operating rhythms: weekly pipeline reviews, 1:1s, call coaching, territory/account planning, and continuous skill-building.

    • Implement a high-integrity CRM and reporting standard (stage definitions, required fields, hygiene, and accountability).

    • Translate market learning into sharper theses, ICPs, segmentation, talk tracks, and outreach programs tailored to founder audiences.

  3. Confirmatory Due Diligence & Value Creation Planning

    • Co-lead confirmatory diligence from an owner-operator lens: validate core product value, customer stickiness, retention drivers, unit economics, go-to- market motion, and operational risks.

    • Build pragmatic Value Creation Plans (“VCPs”) with clear initiatives, owners, timelines, and leading indicators—grounded in what is achievable post-close.

    • Partner with internal teams and portfolio leadership to ensure diligence outputs translate into execution-ready priorities (not academic slides).

  4. Post-Close Execution & Portfolio Performance (LATAM Investments)

    • Own accountability for the operating trajectory of Latin American investments in coordination with portfolio leadership.

    • Drive post-close execution against agreed VCPs: cadence, KPI instrumentation, operating routines, leadership coaching, and issue resolution.

    • Establish governance and performance management: monthly operating reviews, KPI dashboards, quarterly planning, and escalation mechanisms.

    • Identify cross-portfolio leverage opportunities (pricing, sales process, customer success, product roadmap hygiene, finance/RevOps discipline, talent upgrades).

  5. Cross-Functional Leadership & Internal Alignment

    • Partner tightly with corporate development, finance, legal, and portfolio operations to ensure clean handoffs and fast, high-quality execution.

    • Provide feedback loops to refine Solen’s LATAM investment theses, integration approach, and founder positioning.

    • Represent LATAM performance and pipeline health to senior leadership with clarity, rigor, and directness.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years of operating experience in vertical-market software, ideally with senior leadership roles (GM, COO, CRO, CEO, BU leader, or equivalent).

  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams with accountability, cadence, and performance standards.

  • Proven track record of capital deployment and investment judgment (e.g., M&A Leadership, principal investing, corporate development at an operator, or founder- led acquisition environments).

  • Deep credibility with founders: executive presence, high-trust communication, and the ability to navigate sensitive partnership dynamics.

  • Strong operating fundamentals: KPI discipline, customer economics, recurring revenue mechanics, pricing, retention, and go-to-market execution.

  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English (required).

  • High integrity, low ego, systems-oriented, and relentlessly focused on compounding outcomes.

Nice to have but not mandatory

  • Experience operating or investing across multiple Latin American markets.

  • Experience in SMB / mid-market vertical software business models (mission- critical workflows, high retention, domain-specific moats).

  • Prior experience working with post-close transformation levers (pricing, sales process redesign, customer success rigor, product/engineering operating cadence, finance modernization).

We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
