Responsabilidades

  • Directly manage a team of 15-50+ frontline associates; handle scheduling and attendance.
  • Drive area throughput targets and balance real-time labor to optimize flow.
  • Monitor defects and quality, perform audits, and escalate issues with root-cause data.
  • Provide real-time updates to Site Leader and participate in daily stand-ups.
  • Own real-time area KPIs and contribute to performance reviews.

Description

We are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Operations Area Manager to lead a functional area within one of our Sub Same Day (SSD) fulfillment nodes in the São Paulo metro region. This role is responsible for managing frontline associates and process assistants across one or more operational areas — including inbound, processing, sortation, or dispatch — ensuring fast delivery promises across multiple daily dispatch cycles. The Area Manager will directly own safety, quality, productivity, and associate engagement for their area, executing with speed and precision in a time-critical environment.

Key job responsibilities
  • People Leadership: Directly manage a team of 15-50+ associates; own daily scheduling, labor allocation, real-time headcount adjustments, coaching, performance feedback, and attendance management
  • Productivity & Throughput: Drive area-level throughput targets (bags/minute, units/hour), manage real-time labor moves to balance flow, minimize idle time, and achieve TPH (throughput per hour) and pack station utilization goals
  • Quality Execution: Monitor and reduce area-level defects including mis-sorts, mis-scans, and package handling errors; execute standard work audits and elevate systemic quality issues with root cause data
  • Communication & Escalation: Provide real-time shift updates to Site Leader, escalations labor gaps, flow imbalances, and equipment issues promptly; participate in daily stand-ups and shift handoff reviews
  • Metrics Ownership: Track and act on real-time area KPIs (throughput, labor utilization, defect rates, cycle readiness); contribute to daily performance narratives and weekly operational reviews
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in managing teams
  • Experience in logistics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing operations environment
  • Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
  • Proven track record of delivering results in ambiguous, high-volume environments with tight SLA requirements
