Amazon Inc. is seeking an Area Manager for Books production in Brazil to lead a shift-based team on the floor, ensuring safety, quality and productivity. You will focus on daily performance and customer outcomes, while coaching staff and improving processes.
Responsibilities include staffing planning, cross-team collaboration, and supporting launch readiness with equipment qualification and SOP development. Strong English communication and leadership of hourly teams are essential.
As an Area Manager for Books business, you will lead a team of hourly associates through the daily rhythm of digital book production—from printing through binding, finishing, and ship-ready packaging. You will focus on four fundamentals: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity. This is a floor-based leadership role in a production environment, not a corporate function. You will stay close to the equipment, the team, and the operation, with direct accountability for daily performance and customer outcomes.
You will spend much of your shift on the production floor, leading your team and staying close to the operation. You will review safety, production targets, staffing and equipment status, while monitoring performance, coaching associates and resolving operational or technical issues with support teams.
