Amazon is seeking a Senior Shift Manager for our AMZL Brazil team in Fortaleza, Brazil. The role involves leading the day-to-day operation of a Delivery Station, supervising Team Leaders, Operators, and external providers, and ensuring high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations at the Delivery Station during the day/night shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Supervise and coach Team Leaders, Operators, and external partners to meet KPIs.
• Allocate labor, assign tasks, and maintain effective communication with internal and external suppliers.
• Monitor On Time Dispatch and First Day Delivery metrics and drive service improvements.
• Analyze operations data to identify root causes and implement practical improvements.
• Support implementation of new systems/processes and collect feedback.

Job description

The Amazon Logistics team is looking for a Senior Shift Manager to join the AMZL Brazil team at our delivery station (Delivery Station) in Fortaleza - DS, during the day shift. As Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day's operation of a Delivery Station. Your role will involve providing support and leadership for Team Leaders, Operators, and Delivery Service Providers, in addition to managing relationships and the performance of external agencies.

Key job responsibilities

• Be based at one of our delivery points, on the night shift. Amazon operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so shiftwork will be part of this function, including weekends and holidays;
• Supervision of the operation that focuses on the delivery of orders from Amazon directly to customers;
• Support your team of operational leaders in the daily management of the delivery point. This will include labor allocation, meeting leadership, assignment of tasks, and communication with internal and external suppliers;
• Work with KPIs such as On Time Dispatch, First Day Delivery Success and improve customer service;
• Think analytically about project management with attention to detail, ability to influence others, and exceptional organizational skills;
• Be obsessed with metrics and dive deep to find root causes quickly to generate improvements;
• Find practical and simple solutions to complex problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality. Utilizing exceptional problem solving and communication skills to influence business and technical audiences;
• Provide daily support during the implementation/implementation of new systems/processes and collect feedback;
• Mapping business requirements, understanding business processes, studying and analyzing workflows, and designing solutions;
• Continuously use software and hardware tools to ensure normal day-to-day operations. Ensure that associates have the appropriate tools to perform the job and coordinate repair or replacement when necessary;
• Communicate daily metrics and report exceptions to other Operations departments and across Amazon as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Experience in people management
• Experience in logistics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
• Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
