Job summary

OPPO is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join the São Paulo finance team. The role focuses on verifying and processing purchase payments and employee reimbursements, ensuring accurate entries and timely approvals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AP, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English. The work includes month-end tasks and collaboration with local suppliers and finance partners in Brazil.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced English required for daily use.
• 5+ years in Accounts Payable or similar role.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of ERP systems; Oracle preferred.
• Strong understanding of AP processes and local accounting principles.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify compliance, completeness, authenticity, accuracy, and legality of documents for purchase payments and employee reimbursements.
• Record procurement and payment details, approve payments timely, ensure correct accounting entries.
• Coordinate with local suppliers, business departments, and finance to resolve payment issues.
• Assist in month-end closing tasks, including expense accruals and reconciliations.
• Maintain accounts payable module and assist staff in using the financial system.
• Collaborate with finance on ad hoc projects and data reports.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify the compliance, completeness, authenticity, accuracy, and legality of documents and attachments related to purchase payments and employee reimbursement
• Accurately record procurement and payment details, complete the payment approval process in a timely manner, and ensure the correctness of related accounting entries.
• Coordinate with local suppliers, business departments, and the finance department to resolve issues related to procurement payments and reimbursement business
• Assist in completing month-end closing tasks, such as expense accruals and account reconciliations.
• Assist in maintaining the accounts payable module of the financial system and Accounts payable process, provide support to local business personnel in understanding the financial system.
• Collaborate with the finance team to complete ad hoc projects and data reports as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Advanced English is mandatory (daily use).
• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role, with knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and local accounting principles.
• Proficient in MS office Application, especially in Excel.
• Strong learning ability, communication skills and execution ability and strong sense of responsibility, with dedication and teamwork spirit.
