Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Accountant to join the Brazil Analytics Center of Excellence within Caterpillar’s Global Finance Services Division. GFSD utilizes global teams & innovative technology to standardize transactional work for Caterpillar and enables Business Units to focus on strategic consulting for Caterpillar.

In this role, you will support Core Service charges for the Core Center of Excellence and manage the global, centralized Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) process. As such, you will provide strategic and influential support to multiple service center business units and team members, setting objectives and deliverables aligned with the strategic vision and coordinating teams’ efforts to deliver on objectives. You will also ensure collaboration and interconnectivity with Caterpillar leadership and alignment on objectives.

What You Will Do:

  • Preparing monthly financial results, analysis and reporting
  • Preparing quarterly forecast and related analysis
  • Preparing monthly Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) accrual
  • Effectively communicating financial results and forecast to company senior leadership
  • Maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards
  • Drive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processes
  • Collaborate across a variety of business units at Caterpillar

What you will have – Skills:

  • Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field in Finance
  • Proven experience with financial analysis and reporting
  • Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to resolve issues independently and with worldwide / diverse teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced English

Top Candidates will have:

  • Knowledge of financial systems & reporting such as PowerBI, Axiom, BPC, OneStream
  • Focus on process improvement, leading initiatives and projects with the team.
  • Project leadership / Black Belt.
  • MBA, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or similar.
  • Fluent English

This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days a week.
