Bahrain Surf Park in Bahrain is seeking a Night Chef de Partie to manage a kitchen section, ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene and efficiency while supporting the Sous and Head Chefs.

You will supervise Commis Chefs, maintain HACCP compliance, and contribute to menu execution and development, with strong English communication and a meticulous approach.

Qualifications

• Relevant culinary qualification or diploma preferred but not essential.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

As a Night Chef de Partie, you are responsible for managing and running a specific section of the kitchen. You will ensure the highest standards of food quality, consistency, hygiene, and efficiency within your section, while supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.

You will lead by example, supervise junior team members within your section, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences aligned with Bahrain Surf Park’s vision, mission, and values.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee your assigned kitchen section
• Prepare and present food according to established recipes and standards
• Ensure consistency in quality, portioning, and presentation
• Assist with daily mise en place and production planning
• Support kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs

Team Supervision

• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs within your section
• Ensure smooth workflow during service periods
• Train and support junior team members on station duties
• Maintain discipline, cleanliness, and kitchen standards
• Communicate effectively with Sous Chef and Head Chef

Food Safety & Hygiene

• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
• Ensure correct food handling, storage, and labelling procedures
• Keep your section clean, organized, and compliant with HACCP standards
• Monitor food temperatures and quality control points
• Report any safety or equipment issues immediately

Inventory & Cost Control

• Control portioning and reduce waste within your section
• Ensure proper use of ingredients and kitchen resources
• Assist in stock rotation and storage procedures
• Support inventory counts and stock control processes
• Report on shortages, wastage, or quality concerns

Menu Execution & Development Support

• Execute menu items according to standard recipes and specifications
• Assist in testing and developing new dishes
• Maintain consistency across all dishes served in your section
• Provide feedback on recipes, quality, and operational improvements
• Ensure recipe standardization is always followed

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain strong knowledge of health and safety procedures
• Ensure compliance with operational and safety standards
• Support audits and inspections
• Promote a safe environment for guests and team members
• Relevant culinary qualification or diploma preferred but not essential
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage (other languages preferred but not essential)

Experience

• Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
