Job summary

Pollet Pool Group is seeking a Technical Advisor in Belgium to be the main contact for professional pool builders, handling technical questions about installations and components such as heat pumps, covers, and lighting. You may perform occasional on-site work and support repairs in the workshop.

You will liaise with suppliers and Product Group to provide accurate answers and maintain technical documentation, while also assisting with returns and training initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Job description

The PPG Technics department is responsible for developing and maintaining the highest standards of technical support for swimming pool builders.

As a Technical Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for our customers – professional swimming pool builders – for technical questions relating to swimming pool installations and components. This includes new installations, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Although our main market is Belgium, Germany is an important growth market for PPG. We therefore aim to support our customers in their native language whenever possible.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical advice by email, WhatsApp and telephone on a wide range of swimming pool components, such as heat pumps, pool covers and lighting. This may involve selecting the right products, resolving installation issues or troubleshooting faults and malfunctions. You will use your technical expertise to help every customer find the right solution.
• If you enjoy hands-on work, you will also have the opportunity to carry out occasional on-site interventions on existing installations or assist with repairs in our workshop.
• Liaising with our suppliers or the Product Group whenever additional technical support is needed to provide customers with well-founded answers and solutions.
• Consulting technical information in our various catalogues, manuals and spare parts lists. You will also play an active role in maintaining, sharing and improving our technical documentation.
• Occasionally assisting with administrative tasks and processing returns.
• If you are interested, contributing to technical training for colleagues and customers of PPG Belgium.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and taking the initiative to optimise existing work processes.
• Reporting to the PPG Technics Manager.

Profile

• You communicate fluently in both Dutch and German.
• You have technical experience in mechanics, electromechanics, electrical engineering or a similar field, and you have a solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience in the swimming pool industry is a strong advantage, but not essential.
• You are willing to roll up your sleeves when needed and provide hands-on support to swimming pool builders.
• Customer satisfaction is important to you, and you enjoy working as part of a team.
• Flexibility, accuracy and organisation come naturally to you. You can combine commercial and administrative tasks and work efficiently.
• You remain calm and maintain an overview during busy periods.

• A full-time position with a permanent employment contract. You will work a 40-hour week, giving you 12 additional days of annual leave. Overtime can be taken as time off in lieu.
