Job summary

BMW Group Belux seeks a proactive Collections & Recovery Officer to manage outstanding receivables and protect BMW Financial Services interests. You will collaborate with customers, dealers, internal stakeholders, and external partners to find sustainable solutions while ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in collections, credit management, or a similar financial role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and identify effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-centric approach.
• Proactive, accurate, and results-driven mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch, French, and English.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of the collection and follow-up of outstanding payments across BMW Financial Services products.
• Proactively identifying risks and implementing actions to minimize financial losses and protect the company's interests.
• Building constructive relationships with customers through regular contact, payment reminders, and tailored follow-up of overdue accounts.
• Designing and coordinating payment plans, settlement agreements, and extension requests to support sustainable repayment solutions.
• Providing advice on credit-related decisions, goodwill requests, and debt forgiveness proposals for customers and dealers.
• Supporting insolvency and recovery cases by working closely with Legal and external partners to secure the best possible outcome.
• Contributing to the achievement of collections targets while ensuring full compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
