Job summary

BMW Group Belux is seeking a proactive Collections Specialist to own the collection and follow-up of outstanding payments across BMW Financial Services. You will proactively identify risks, design payment plans, and maintain strong relationships with customers and dealers.

You will work with Legal and external partners to support insolvency cases, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in collections, credit management, or similar financial role.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to assess risks and identify effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a persuasive and customer-centric approach.
• Proactive, accurate and results-driven mindset with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own the collection and follow-up of outstanding payments across BMW Financial Services products and services.
• Identify risks proactively and implement actions to minimize losses and protect interests.
• Build constructive relationships with customers via regular contact and tailored follow-up of overdue accounts.
• Design and coordinate payment plans, settlement agreements, and extension requests for sustainable repayment.
• Provide advice on credit-related decisions, goodwill requests, and debt forgiveness proposals for customers and dealers.
• Support insolvency and recovery cases by collaborating with Legal and external partners.
• Contribute to collections targets while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
