Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Brussels is seeking an enthusiastic culinary intern to join its kitchen team. You will support the chefs in preparing vegetables, soups, meats, sauces, and plating, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Experience in hospitality is preferred; English or French speakers are welcome. The internship offers meals, uniform, transport, and access to the fitness facilities, with mentorship from senior chefs in a premium hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Exposure to general culinary practices and hygiene.
• Hard working and able to follow directions.
• Fluency in French or English.

Responsibilities

• Wash and cut vegetables or fruits.
• Cook soups, vegetables, fish and meat ordinarily.
• Prepare sauces and other garnishes as directed by the Chef de Partie.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Assist with plating and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
• Minimize waste and ensure proper use of ingredients.
