Job summary

Berkeley Square IT is seeking a DevOps Engineer with an electronics background for a fully remote, 3-6 month engagement. You will drive CI/CD initiatives across engineering teams using GitLab/GitHub and Jenkins, with a focus on automation and scalable infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has strong Python and build-system experience, plus RTL/electronics knowledge to support hardware-informed software deployments.

DevOps Engineer - Electronics background required - Fully remote role - £460 per day inside IR35

My client, a leading AI business is seeking a fully remote DevOps Engineer with a background in electronics to to offer significant CI/CD expertise to their Engineering teams on a 3-6 month basis.

This is an engineering focused role to assist with deploying and maintaining CI systems using GitLab/Github, Jenkins or similar.

Candidates must have the following experince to be considered for the role:

• Python
• Cmake
• RTL/Electronics knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyse metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
• Participate in automation initiatives to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and reduce hosting cost
• Meeting performance, availability, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and security SLAs.
• Work closely with Product Owner, Platform Team, Solution Architects and development teams for continuous improvement
• Enhance and drive automation and "Infrastructure as Code" delivery
