Job summary

Berkeley Square IT is seeking a DevOps Engineer with an electronics background for a fully remote, 3-6 month engagement. You will drive CI/CD initiatives across engineering teams using GitLab/GitHub and Jenkins, with a focus on automation and scalable infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has strong Python and build-system experience, plus RTL/electronics knowledge to support hardware-informed software deployments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with CMake build systems.
• Knowledge of RTL and electronics concepts relevant to DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse metrics from OS and applications for performance tuning and fault finding.
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management and capacity planning.
• Lead automation initiatives to streamline processes, reduce hosting costs, and improve efficiency.
• Meet performance, availability, scalability, reliability, maintainability and security SLAs.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and teams for continuous improvement.
