Black Pen Recruitment is seeking an IT Support Engineer (DevOps expertise) to support clients remotely from the EU, collaborating with major IT teams on complex environments. The role focuses on maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments in a remote setting.

The ideal candidate holds a University degree in IT, 5+ years in IT support/DevOps, strong scripting and IaC skills, and excellent English. EU candidates only due to security clearance.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT or a relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years' IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years in technical support, site reliability, or DevOps-related roles.
• Experience with systems administration and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) and IaC tools.
• Strong knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) is an asset.
• Excellent command of the English language.

Responsabilités

• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for customers, resolving product and infrastructure issues.
• Troubleshoot incidents across application, system, and network layers.
• Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for deployment and monitoring.
• Write and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Monitor systems, logs, and alerts to proactively identify issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance reliability and support efficiency.
