Recurv in Brussels is seeking an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to maintain and evolve an internal platform and DevOps environment. You will work hands-on across Linux, containers, automation and software engineering, supporting both application and data workloads in a diverse tech landscape.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, self-hosted infrastructure, and collaboration with software and data teams to improve reliability and performance in a hybrid, on-site/off-site setup.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Linux.
• Solid hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Programming and scripting experience with Golang, Bash and/or Python.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tooling such as Git, Jenkins and Ansible.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple layers of tech environments.
• Experience with self-hosted, on-premise or non-cloud-native infrastrucure.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar technologies and custom-built systems.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Professional fluency in English.

Responsabilités

• Maintain, improve and further develop internal DevOps and platform tooling.

• Automate platform, deployment and operational processes using Bash, Golang and other scripting/programming languages.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD workflows and supporting tooling.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, containers and infrastructure.
• Work with technologies such as Keycloak, MinIO and Apache Spark within the broader platform environment.
• Support secure deployments across connected and restricted environments.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers and data teams to improve reliability, scalability and performance.
• Contribute ideas and help shape technical solutions rather than simply maintaining existing processes.

Are you an experienced DevOps/ Platform Engineer with a strong engineering mindset? Do you enjoy working hands-on across software, infrastructure and automation, and solving technical challenges in environments that go beyond traditional cloud setups?

Our client in Brussels is looking for an experienced engineer to help maintain and further develop its internal platform and DevOps environment. You’ll work in a technically diverse landscape combining Linux, containerization, automation and software engineering, supporting both application and data-platform workloads.

Rather than relying solely on standard cloud services, the environment includes custom-built tooling and self-hosted infrastructure, making strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to understand complex systems essential.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain, improve and further develop internal DevOps and platform tooling

What You Bring:

• Experience working with self-hosted, on-premise or non-cloud-native infrastructure
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar technologies and custom-built systems
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Professional fluency in English

• Experience with Docker Swarm
• Familiarity with Keycloak
• Experience with Apache Spark or data-platform environments
• Experience with object storage solutions such as MinIO
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tooling such as Kibana and Grafana
• Experience with air-gapped or otherwise restricted environments
