Job summary

Axis Group in Belgium seeks a driven claims adjuster to resolve complex non-life claims and serve as the primary contact for challenging commercial property damage cases within a growing real estate brokerage.

You’ll collaborate with account managers and insurance advisors, handle communications, and manage cases with independence and integrity. You’ll review cases for quality and maintain relationships with insurers, experts, and repair companies to improve value and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• University or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with motivation to learn about insurance.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial and personal insurance within BOAR sector.
• Fluent Dutch and French with basic English; MiFID certifications expected.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex claims cases efficiently and professionally for non-life insurance.
• Collaborate with account managers and insurance advisors to ensure quality.
• Provide feedback to colleagues and ensure timely communication with insurers.
• Represent the organization during expert assessments and support clients as needed.
• Maintain relationships with insurers, experts and repair companies; manage calendar and case tracking.
• Ensure MiFID compliance and smooth financial processing of cases.

• You are responsible for the accurate, efficient, and professional handling of complex claims cases in the non-life insurance sector;
• You work closely with the account manager and the insurance advisor, contributing to a positive team dynamic;
• You provide regular and targeted feedback to your colleagues and the account manager;
• You offer clients sound and tailored advice and establish clear agreements with them;
• At your manager's request, you represent our organization during important expert assessments and provide support to the client;
• You build and maintain valuable relationships with insurers, experts, and repair companies;
• You share ideas with the manager to promote both personal development and efficiency;
• You keep relevant colleagues informed by copying them on important information;
• You continuously seek opportunities to improve value and quality for the customer, with the goal of increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty;
• You look for opportunities to increase efficiency in the administrative processing of cases;
• You handle daily communication with customers, insurers, and the bank accurately and efficiently;
• You take a proactive approach and actively follow up on cases;
• You carefully review and track correspondence with insurers;
• You identify potential issues in cases and take the necessary steps to address them early on;
• You ensure the quality of the cases;
• You handle daily correspondence, emails (including assigning them to claims files in Brio), phone calls, and so on;
• You manage your calendar daily, with the goal of avoiding red calendar entries;
• You process AS2 messages daily;
• You comply with MiFID guidelines;
• You ensure the smooth financial processing of cases;
• You process data carefully and keep our Brio+ management system up to date.

• Has completed a university or bachelor's degree program, or has equivalent experience, with a strong motivation to learn about the insurance industry;
• Has in-depth knowledge and experience in both commercial and personal insurance within the BOAR sector;
• Is fluent in both Dutch and French and has a basic knowledge of English;
• Possesses the required insurance certifications in accordance with MiFID legislation;
• Highly values our client's values and culture, both internally and externally;
• Is an expert in his or her field and consistently ensures that knowledge remains up-to-date;
• Is dynamic, enthusiastic, and driven, with a positive and flexible attitude;
