Role Overview The Agile Transformation Coach is responsible for six key deliverables to drive organizational change, maturity, and sustainable ways of working across AWOW and EITS.
1. Agile Maturity Assessment & Organizational Analysis
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct maturity assessments across AWOW and relevant transformation domains within EITS.
- Analyze current ways of working, IT governance, agile maturity, leadership, and collaboration with departments like architecture, security, and portfolio management.
- Identify strengths, gaps, risks, and priority areas for improvement.
- Challenge the current Agile Way of Working using external expertise, best practices, and proven agile principles.
- An Agile Maturity Assessment report for the IT department outlining identified strengths, gaps, and risks.
- A prioritized improvement plan and action roadmap featuring concrete proposals to evolve AWOW and the Strategic/Tactical layers of EITS.
- Responsibilities:
- Translate the digital strategy into actionable IT transformation initiatives with clear objectives and priorities.
- Partner with management, Agile Coaches, and key stakeholders to define the target future state.
- Support strategic decision-making, prioritization, and identify dependencies, risks, and prerequisites for successful execution.
- A fully backed, prioritized transformation roadmap for AWOW and the broader EITS transformation with clear objectives and milestones.
- A comprehensive view of dependencies, risks, necessary decisions, and short-, medium-, and long-term priorities.
- Responsibilities:
- Support the design of a future-proof operating model for EITS and advise on roles, responsibilities, decision structures, and collaboration frameworks.
- Translate agile principles into workable IT governance tailored to EITS and IT contexts.
- Maintain alignment between teams, management, portfolio management, governance, and strategic goals.
- A clear, endorsed Target Operating Model (TOM) for EITS operations along with a concrete Agile Governance Framework.
- Well-defined roles, responsibilities, and decision rights.
- Recommendations for implementing and embedding the operating model long-term.
4. KPIs, Metrics & Success Criteria
- Responsibilities:
- Define IT-specific KPIs, metrics, and maturity indicators (e.g., delivery, flow, and quality metrics) for AWOW and the broader transformation.
- Establish transparent tracking for progress, maturity, impact, and value delivery.
- Guide IT Management and Agile Coaches on interpreting and leveraging metrics for continuous improvement.
- A concrete OKR/KPI and metrics framework featuring measurable progress indicators.
- Clear success criteria, maturity indicators, and a structured reporting framework.
5. Coaching & Mentoring the Agile Coaching Team
- Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor the Agile Coaching Team to build autonomy and enhance capabilities in organizational change, stakeholder management, leadership coaching, change management, systems thinking, and agile transformation.
- Assist coaches with complex challenges, challenge the team, and introduce new methodologies, insights, and best practices.
- A mature, autonomous Agile Coaching Team with advanced coaching and transformation competencies built from the team's skills matrix.
- Practical coaching and intervention techniques for complex scenarios.
- Sustainable internal knowledge transfer.
6. Management Coaching & Agile Leadership
- Responsibilities:
- Guide and challenge IT management and leaders on agile leadership principles.
- Shift traditional management and governance patterns toward leadership that fosters autonomy, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Help management navigate trade-offs, complex decisions, and transformation friction.
- Agile Leadership workshops for management to deepen their understanding of their role in the digital transformation.
- Clear leadership principles and target behaviors that support AWOW.
- Improved alignment among IT management, the Agile Coaching Team, and IT execution teams.

- Excellent leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication (written, visual, verbal), and facilitation skills.
- Constructively critical; comfortable challenging existing practices and status-quo patterns.
- Hands-on, results-oriented, and capable of simplifying complex changes for diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate autonomously in complex settings.

Technical Competencies You have proven expertise in Agile & Lean and extensive experience guiding Agile transformations in complex organizational settings. You excel at coaching teams, coaches, and management through organizational change, agile governance, maturity enhancement, and long-term adoption.
