Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council in the Shoalhaven region seeks a diligent Waste Depot officer to classify, ticket, charge and route waste, while delivering frontline customer service and supporting weighbridge operations.

You will provide clerical support to ensure efficient service delivery and comply with legislative requirements, including accurate record-keeping, clear communication and escalation of issues to the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Current Class C Driver Licence.
• Willing to obtain or hold a SafeWork NSW White Card.
• Proof of Australian residency/citizenship or valid visa to work in Australia.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service and handling inquiries.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately process and maintain records using computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Classify, ticket, charge and route waste at the depot.
• Deliver frontline customer service and support weighbridge operations.
• Provide clerical and administrative assistance for waste services.
• Ensure communications are correct, timely, customer-focused and compliant with legislation.
• Alert Supervisor/Coordinator to difficult or sensitive issues.
• Share information within the work group to keep others informed.
