Job summary

Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking a Weighbridge Operator to support the day-to-day operations at the Resource Recovery Centre in Moss Vale. You will accurately process weighbridge transactions, respond to inquiries, and provide residents, businesses and contractors with guidance on disposal and recycling options.

In a fast-paced environment, you will operate weighbridge software, balance receipts, and maintain precise records while promoting environmental sustainability and delivering

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in weighbridge operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a diverse range of customers and employees.
• Cash handling, banking and retail experience.
• Ability to handle challenging situations with difficult customers.
• Strong computer literacy and data entry accuracy.
• Hold a valid Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process weighbridge transactions and balance daily receipts.
• Answer customer enquiries and provide advice to residents, businesses and contractors.
• Operate weighbridge software and manage cash and electronic transactions.
• Guide customers to disposal and recycling areas, promoting sustainability.
• Support outdoor operations and assist with waste and resource recovery activities.
