Job summary

Tamworth Regional Council is seeking a reliable Weighbridge Attendant to join the Waste Management and Resource Recovery team at the landfill facility in Tamworth, NSW. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring accurate assessment, recording and management of waste in line with council and statutory requirements.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, NSW Drivers Licence, Certificate II or equivalent, and safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience (1-3 years) in similar weighbridge roles.
• Operate and manage weighbridge systems and record transactions accurately.
• Accurate data entry and record keeping using MS Office.
• Comply with safety, environmental and council requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with customers, clients and team members.
• Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Operate and understand weighbridge systems (eg: Mandalay).
• Perform data entry and maintain precise records using Microsoft Office.
• Apply safe work practices.
