Job summary

Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking a Weighbridge Operator to manage weighbridge transactions at the Resource Recovery Centre and assist residents, businesses and contractors with enquiries. You will operate weighbridge software, handle cash and electronic payments, balance receipts and maintain records.

The role offers a temporary full-time contract (38 hours per week) with a 14-day rotating roster, including every second weekend, and pays AU$71,287.44–AU$82,847.32 plus 12% superannuation.

Qualifications

• Experience in weighbridge operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse customers.
• Demonstrated cash handling and retail experience.
• Strong computer literacy and data entry ability.
• Hold a valid Driver's Licence.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Process weighbridge transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Answer customer enquiries and provide guidance to residents, businesses and contractors.
• Balance daily receipts and maintain accurate records.
• Guide customers to disposal and recycling areas and promote sustainability.
• Support outdoor operational activities and collaborate with staff as needed.
