Job summary

Wingecarribee Shire Council in Moss Vale NSW is seeking a Weighbridge Operator for the Resource Recovery Centre. The role handles weighbridge transactions, assists residents, businesses and contractors, and ensures accurate cash handling and record keeping.

The position is temporary full-time up to 16 November 2027, offers a 14-day rotating roster with every second weekend, and an attractive salary of $71,287.44 to $82,847.32 plus 12% superannuation and allowances.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in weighbridge operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse customers.
• Cash handling, banking and retail experience.
• Ability to handle challenging situations with customers.
• Strong computer skills and accurate data entry.
• Hold a Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Process weighbridge transactions accurately and handle customer enquiries.
• Operate weighbridge software, balance daily receipts and maintain records.
• Guide customers to disposal and recycling areas, promoting sustainability.
• Assist with outdoor operational activities as needed.
• Collaborate with staff and contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations.
