Job summary

Aurelia Metals Limited is seeking a Ventilation Engineer to join our underground mining operations in New South Wales. You will play a critical role in shaping safe, productive and sustainable mining environments while collaborating with Technical Services and Operational teams.

Key responsibilities include developing ventilation plans, conducting surveys, modelling airflow, and ensuring compliance with standards. A degree in Mining Engineering and 4–5 years in underground mining are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4–5 years' experience in underground hard rock mining environments.
• Practical experience in mine ventilation planning, monitoring and optimisation.
• Experience conducting ventilation surveys and analysing ventilation performance.
• Proficiency with VentSim or equivalent ventilation modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ventilation management plans.
• Conduct ventilation surveys and analysis.
• Model and optimise underground airflow requirements.
• Monitor compliance with ventilation standards and regulations.
• Support operational and technical teams with ventilation advice.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety and efficiency.
