Job summary

Stellar Recruitment is seeking a Senior Ventilation Engineer for an underground mining operation in Western Australia, FIFO from Perth. You will lead ventilation strategy, optimize airflow and dust/diesel control, and mentor junior engineers while partnering with site leadership.

Key requirements include a Mining Engineering degree, extensive underground experience, and proficiency with Ventsim and Deswik. First Class Mine Manager's Certificate or Ventilation Officer qualifications are highly

Qualifications

• Degree qualified Mining Engineer or relevant engineering discipline.
• Extensive underground hard rock mining experience.
• Strong ventilation background in underground operations.
• Experience with Ventsim and Deswik software.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership capability.
• First Class Mine Manager's Certificate or Ventilation Officer qualifications highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground ventilation planning and design activities.
• Develop and maintain ventilation models and life-of-mine strategies.
• Monitor and optimize airflow, refrigeration, dust and diesel particulate management.
• Provide technical guidance to site operations and management teams.
• Conduct ventilation surveys and analyze operational performance.
• Support mine planning and expansion projects.
• Mentor and develop junior ventilation personnel.
• Ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
