Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking a Senior Ventilation Engineer to lead underground ventilation across Ernest Henry and Bert Mines. You will act as the Statutory Ventilation Officer, guiding a technical team and collaborating with operations to drive safe production and continuous improvement.

You’ll monitor and optimise ventilation systems, manage data and surveys, and provide expert advice to stakeholders while leveraging Ventsim, VOD and Deswik capabilities.

Qualifications

• Ventilation Officer for underground metalliferous operations with RIIUND601E & RIIUND603D.
• Underground mining experience with ventilation engineering and related mine functions.
• Experience as a practising Ventilation Officer in underground mining.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with cross-team influence.
• Experience using mine ventilation/design software (Ventsim, VOD, Deswik).

Responsibilities

• Fulfil the statutory responsibilities of Ventilation Officer for Ernest Henry and Bert Mines, ensuring compliance with Queensland mining legislation.
• Monitor, analyse and optimise underground ventilation systems for safe, efficient mining.
• Manage ventilation data, modelling, inspections and surveys to keep systems effective.
• Provide ventilation advice and recommendations to site stakeholders.
