Aurelia Metals Limited is seeking a Ventilation Engineer to join our underground mining operations in New South Wales. You will play a critical role in shaping safe, productive and sustainable mining environments while collaborating with Technical Services and Operational teams.

Key responsibilities include developing ventilation plans, conducting surveys, modelling airflow, and ensuring compliance with standards. A degree in Mining Engineering and 4–5 years in underground mining are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4–5 years' experience in underground hard rock mining environments.
• Practical experience in mine ventilation planning, monitoring and optimisation.
• Experience conducting ventilation surveys and analysing ventilation performance.
• Proficiency with VentSim or equivalent ventilation modelling software.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Ventilation Engineer to join our growing underground mining operations in New South Wales. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in shaping safe, productive and sustainable mining environments while working alongside highly experienced Technical Services and Operational teams.

8/6 (Dayshift only)

Cobar Region, NSW

Travel Options

• Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance
• DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance
• FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne

Qualifications and experience

Essential

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification
• Minimum 4-5 years' experience in underground hard rock mining environments
• Practical experience in mine ventilation planning, monitoring and optimisation
• Experience conducting ventilation surveys and analysing ventilation performance
• Proficiency with VentSim or equivalent ventilation modelling software
• Strong understanding of underground mining methods, mine planning and operational requirements
• Current driver's licence
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Highly Desirable

• Graduate Diploma in Mine Ventilation
• Experience in a statutory Ventilation Engineer capacity
• Familiarity with Australian mining legislation and ventilation standards
• Experience supporting or leading ventilation improvement projects
• Exposure to Deswik and other mine planning software
