Job summary

A1 Rubber, an Australian manufacturer of rubber products, is seeking a Sydney-based Business Development Manager to grow the NSW territory. This active, customer-facing sales role focuses on finding opportunities, building relationships and converting business, with close collaboration with sales, customer service and operations teams.

You will meet customers on site, understand project requirements, prepare quotations, manage a healthy pipeline in NetSuite, and travel throughout your territory

Qualifications

• Proven success in business development, external sales or account management.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial judgement and pricing discussion ability for projects.
• Ability to learn a technical product range and explain benefits clearly.
• Good organization and consistent follow-up using CRM and quoting systems (NetSuite).
• Willingness to travel throughout the territory for customer meetings.
• Experience selling flooring, landscaping products, building materials or related technical products is well regarded.

Responsibilities

• Identify and win new customers and projects in NSW.
• Grow existing accounts with additional products and repeat business.
• Meet customers on site, present solutions and gather requirements.
• Prepare quotations and manage opportunities through to orders.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline in CRM and conduct timely follow-ups.
• Plan territory visits and travel to meet clients.
• Share insights on customers, market trends and competitors with the team.
