Zusammenfassung

AECOM seeks a Technical Director with a strong Building Structures background to lead and shape major projects across Australia. You will guide design teams, manage complex multidisciplinary delivery, and engage with clients to win and deliver high‑impact building projects.

Based in a hybrid work model, you will collaborate with senior leaders, oversee budgets and contracts, and drive growth through strategic business development while mentoring high‑performing teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifikationen

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Civil / Structural Engineering with 20+ years of experience in the Australian building services industry.
• Chartered Engineer and relevant registrations are highly desirable.
• Extensive experience in building engineering with complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven experience in senior technical, project or business leadership.
• Strong commercial understanding including budgets, programmes, contracts and financial performance.
• Track record of client engagement, commercial management and winning work.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing project teams.
• Established network within the Australian building engineering and property market would be advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Provide senior technical and design leadership across major Building Engineering projects, focusing on quality, programme, budget and client outcomes.
• Lead project teams and take responsibility for delivery of a portfolio of projects.
• Work directly with clients to understand needs, build relationships and deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Take a lead role in design management, technical reviews and project delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
• Support business development and work winning through client engagement, proposals and presentations.
• Identify opportunities to grow AECOM’s services with existing and new clients across locations.
• Provide commercial oversight including budgets, pricing, contracts and financial performance.
