Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Technical Director with a strong Building Services background to join our national Building Engineering team. This leadership role combines technical and design leadership, project delivery, commercial management, client engagement and business development across major projects.

You will report to the Sector Manager and collaborate with the ANZ Building Engineer Sector Director, guiding Building Engineering’s response to landmark opportunities while building

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Fire/Hydraulics Engineering.
20+ years of experience in building services in Australia.
Chartered Engineer with relevant registrations.
Experience leading multidisciplinary building services projects.
Strong understanding of project budgets, programmes and financial performance.
Proven client engagement, business development and negotiations.

Responsibilities

Provide senior technical and design leadership across major Building Engineering projects, ensuring quality, programme, budget and client outcomes.
Lead project teams and take responsibility for the delivery of a portfolio of projects.
Work directly with clients to understand needs, build relationships and deliver practical engineering solutions.
Lead design management, reviews and project delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
Support business development and win work through client engagement, proposals and presentations.
Identify opportunities to grow AECOM’s services across existing and new clients.
