Job summary

The Salvation Army in Alice Springs is seeking a Team Leader - Open House to manage a team of Case Managers delivering a supported accommodation program for men on bail or involved with the justice system and experiencing homelessness. • Degree in Social Services, Community Development or related field, or extensive experience in a similar role.
• Experience engaging people experiencing homelessness.
• Understanding of homelessness, alcohol and other drug concerns and mental health issues.
• Previous experience supervising or supporting staff.
• Commitment to culturally safe, inclusive and person-centred practice.

About the role

You will lead a team of Case Managers delivering a supported accommodation program for men who are on bail or otherwise involved with the justice system and experiencing homelessness. This is an on-site role within a 27-bed residential facility with a strong focus on day-to-day operations and supporting the team. The program provides a safe and stabilising environment, alongside wraparound support to help participants meet court-ordered conditions while also addressing broader needs such as housing stability, alcohol and other drug use and mental health. You will support your team to deliver consistent, person-centred and trauma-informed support while maintaining clear boundaries and ensuring a structured and safe environment for all participants. You will oversee daily operations, guide case planning, support intake and assessment and ensure service delivery aligns with TSA’s National Homelessness Stream Model of Care. You will work closely with the Program Manager to meet compliance requirements, maintain data accuracy and support continuous improvement. This full-time permanent position reports to the Program Manager and pay is in accordance with a SCHADS Level 6.
