Many residents are seeking a calm, respectful and empowering environment where they can regain confidence, strengthen independence and reconnect with community.
This program supports individuals who may have experienced trauma, justice involvement, safety concerns and barriers to social participation. Support Workers play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and trauma‑informed space that promotes dignity, healing and self‑determination. The role is well suited to applicants who are passionate about supporting women and people transitioning from the justice system.

About The Role

As a casual Support Worker, you will contribute to after‑hours operations at Open House, ensuring the environment is safe, well‑maintained and supportive. • Provide clear, accurate information in handover documents between shifts
  • Identify risks to clients, staff or TSA and **escalate** promptly to the relevant supervisor
  • Support residents to work towards case plan goals, including attending appointments relating to health, housing, finances, education, justice and social inclusion
  • Take preventative action in potential high‑risk situations in line with policy and procedure
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
  • Participate in a 24/7 roster, including afternoon, evening and overnight active shifts
