Job summary
NSW Department of Communities and Justice – Mid North Coast Correctional Centre invites applications for a Teacher within the Intensive Learning Centre. Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate courses to meet accredited requirements and reduce re-offending, contributing to community safety.
Deliver LLND programs, support offender education pathways, and maintain accurate records while working within CSNSW policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent.
- Graduate Diploma in Education or equivalent.
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110/16/22).
- Current NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel within the region.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain LLND classes using OIMS.
- Invite eligible learners to participate in LLND programs.
- Conduct pre-enrolment proficiency reviews to tailor education programs.
- Enrol learners into appropriate programs.
- Deliver classes and assessments tailored to learner needs and adult learning principles.
- Develop lesson plans and resources meeting accredited qualifications.
- Participate in course evaluation, validation and moderation.
- Maintain learner participation, progress and achievement records.
- Provide reports on inmate learning progress and outcomes.
