Job summary

CEA CAPA Sydney is seeking a Student Support Coordinator to deliver high‑quality services to American college students studying at the Sydney Centre. You will manage housing, events, welfare, health and safety, and crisis response.

This active role requires regular engagement with students, staff, university partners, accommodation providers and external suppliers to create a welcoming, safe and supportive study abroad experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent customer service and passion for working with university students.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience coordinating events, activities or group programs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Legal right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Support Student Support Director with housing allocations and entries into StarRez.
• Coordinate and deliver student activities, cultural events, excursions, educational visits and social programs.
• Assist with student arrivals, departures, orientation programs, and welcome events.
• Engage with students during evenings and weekends to promote Australian culture.
• Provide high-quality student support and advising for a rewarding study abroad experience.
• Respond to welfare concerns, disciplinary matters and crisis situations.
• Conduct welfare check-ins and maintain regular contact with students.
• Serve as first point of contact for students, visitors and partners at the Sydney Centre.
• Create program calendars, itineraries and activity schedules.
• Collaborate with Academic and Internship teams to support delivery.
• Participate in emergency phone rotation and provide student emergencies support.
