Job summary

CIEE is seeking a Program Assistant to support Sydney-based students living and studying in the city. The role covers on-campus reception, tours, health and wellbeing access, and ad hoc administration and logistics.

Multiple temporary casual positions are available (24-38 hours per week), with contracts from November 2026 to February 2027 or July 2027 and potential extension. The role requires strong people skills and knowledge of Sydney.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating student experience and/or community engagement initiatives.
• Ability to lead student groups under pressure and schedule independently.
• Extensive knowledge of Sydney.
• Familiarity with US culture and study abroad experience is desirable.
• Ability to coordinate multiple ongoing tasks to deliver timely, accurate outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Current working with children check or willingness to apply before commencing.

Responsibilities

• Assist students as they adjust to living and studying in Sydney.
• Assist the Student Life Team with Arrival Orientation and Extracurricular activities.
• Attend and supervise CIEE coordinated Social, Cultural and Day activities.
• Coordinate regularly with the Student Life Team regarding student well-being.
• Provide support and advice on safety and security per CIEE protocols.
• Provide front-desk support in a busy campus environment and manage enquiries.
• Perform other administration duties as directed.
