AEMO, Australia’s energy system operator, is seeking a Strategy Lead to shape the nation's energy future. You will translate long-term strategy into actionable plans and coordinate enterprise-wide strategic initiatives across the organisation.

Reporting to the General Manager Strategy, you will guide senior teams, prepare executive-level materials, and mentor junior colleagues in a high-impact environment dedicated to the energy transition. This permanent role offers flexible work options.

Qualifikationen

• Strategy development, corporate planning, or management consulting experience.
• Experience in energy sector or regulated utility environments.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and justify initiatives delivering value.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement for executive audiences.

Aufgaben

• Lead annual strategic and corporate planning, translating long-term strategy into 1–3 year priorities.
• Partner with senior leaders to align priorities with divisional plans, financial outcomes, and investments.
• Develop compelling justifications for initiatives linking to stakeholder value and outcomes.
• Oversee strategic performance reporting, monitor progress, and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare Board and Executive-level strategy materials and mentor junior team members.
