Job summary

ICC Sydney is seeking a commercially focused Business Development Manager for The Cutaway. Stationed at The Cutaway, you will drive sales strategy, identify and convert new opportunities, and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts.

You will build strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders, manage end-to-end deals from prospecting to contracting, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and an exceptional client experience.

• Commercial acumen with sales experience in events or venues
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills
• Ability to build long-term client relationships

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of a sales strategy for The Cutaway, building a pipeline of anchor and one-off events; solidifying long-term accounts for the Cutaway venue.
• Proactively identify, develop and convert new business opportunities through end-to-end sales processes, including prospecting, presentations, venue inspections, proposals, negotiations and contracting.
• Build and maintain relationships with event organisers, agencies, associations, corporate clients and key stakeholders to drive retention and revenue growth.
• Identify new market opportunities and implement targeted business development and sales strategies.
• Represent The Cutaway at industry events, trade shows and networking functions to generate new business.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless transition from sale to event delivery and exceptional client experience.
• Own and maintain Business Development documentation and processes for the venue, ensuring they are up to date.
• Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, proposals and account plans, maintaining CRM records and market intelligence.
• Achieve or exceed sales, conversion and revenue targets through a proactive, commercially focused approach.
• Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.
