Job summary

Metcash is looking for a Store Operations Manager to lead a busy wholesale branch, drive operational excellence, deliver outstanding customer service and build a high-performing team culture.

You will report to the Branch Manager and focus on ensuring products are delivered in full and on time while driving performance, productivity and customer outcomes. Hands-on leadership and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational teams and frontline supervisors.
• Strong people leadership, coaching and performance management.
• Experience managing budgets, operational performance and productivity.
• Knowledge of warehouse, inventory, or supply chain operations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day branch operations and ensure DIFOT performance.
• Drive operational, sales and financial targets for the branch.
• Coach and develop supervisors and team members to a high-performance culture.
• Champion safety culture and ensure WHS, Food Safety and HACCP compliance.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and partners.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement to boost productivity and outcomes.
