Metcash Trading Limited invites applications for a Store Operations Manager at our Victoria wholesale branch. You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure DIFOT performance, and drive a high‑performing team culture.

You’ll coach supervisors, manage safety and compliance, and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers to deliver outstanding service and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading operational teams in a retail or wholesale environment.
• Strong people leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
• Experience managing budgets, operational performance, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day branch operations, ensuring exceptional service and DIFOT (Delivered In Full, On Time) performance
• Drive operational, sales, and financial targets while identifying opportunities to improve branch performance
• Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and team members to build a high-performing, engaged workforce
• Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS, Food Safety, HACCP, and environmental requirements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and operational partners to deliver outstanding service
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and customer outcomes
