Job summary

Metcash is seeking a Commercial Manager for our WA Food business to drive profitable growth, shape commercial strategy and strengthen our independent retail network. You’ll work with the State Leadership team to connect commercial strategy, property opportunities, retailer partnerships and P&L performance to deliver sustainable results.

You’ll drive deals, negotiate agreements, rebates and retailer arrangements, and balance opportunity with risk in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial acumen with track record of revenue growth.
• Experience in commercial retail or related field.
• Solid understanding of P&L and deal structuring.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable growth by expanding revenue and improving margins.
• Structure and negotiate commercial agreements and rebates.
• Assess property opportunities to support network growth.
• Translate data into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Partner with State Leaders on planning, budgets, forecasting.
• Collaborate across Retail, Property, Finance, and Supply Chain.
