Yorkshire Bridge seeks a high-calibre State Manager to lead its regional sales in South Australia, with a remit that includes the Northern Territory. The role oversees the Adelaide site, drives key account relationships, coaches a six-person team, and guides growth across specification, projects, wholesale and upgrade work.
You will champion CRM adoption, forecast performance, and maintain a visible market presence while building new opportunities in a mature market.
This privately-owned business is a designer, manufacturer and supplier of automated monitoring systems and building compliance solutions. With an integrated model spanning product development, manufacturing, software, sales, commissioning and after-sales support, the company has built a market-leading reputation for innovation, reliability and making compliance easy for its customers. Channels to market include specifiers and consultants, electrical contractors, electrical wholesale and end users. The business is now entering its next stage of growth, investing in new systems, CRM capability and sales development to support ambitious growth plans.
Reporting to the General Manager Sales and as a member of the management team, the State Manager will lead a well-established regional business that holds a market-leading position, with a team of six and a remit that includes the Northern Territory. This is a hands-on commercial leadership role: alongside coaching and developing a long-tenured team, the State Manager will personally manage key customer and account relationships and maintain a visible presence in a closely connected local market. The challenge is to protect and extend the company's leading position across specification, projects, wholesale and upgrade work, keep the team outward-looking and focused on growth, and find new areas of incremental growth in a mature market. The role also oversees the Adelaide site, including OH&S and ISO systems.
The successful candidate will be a credible senior sales leader with strong Adelaide networks, a sound record of team leadership and the appetite to stay personally involved in key accounts. Experience across electrical products, electrical wholesale, building products, industrial products or construction-related B2B sales would be highly regarded; direct product experience is not essential. Above all, you will lead through trust and coaching, and be driven to find growth rather than rely on existing market share.
