Yorkshire Bridge is seeking a State Manager (Sales) for Victoria & Tasmania to lead a high‑performing regional team across diversified channels. The role focuses on translating national strategies into local execution, coordinating specification, project, wholesale and end-user activities, and driving conversion through coaching and strong CRM discipline.
The successful candidate will bring a track record of leading B2B sales teams in industrial or building products, with demonstrated revenue
This privately-owned business is a designer, manufacturer and supplier of automated monitoring systems and building compliance solutions. With an integrated model spanning product development, manufacturing, software, sales, commissioning and after-sales support, the company has built a market-leading reputation for innovation, reliability and making compliance easy for its customers. Channels to market include specifiers and consultants, electrical contractors, electrical wholesale and end users. The business is now entering its next stage of growth, investing in new systems, CRM capability and sales development to support ambitious growth plans.
Reporting to the General Manager Sales and as a member of the management team, the State Manager will lead one of the company's largest and most strategically important regions, with a revenue base of $40m and a team of 15 across business development and customer service. This is a field-based, coaching-led leadership role, with a mandate to translate national segment strategies into local execution, connect the specification, project, wholesale and end-user disciplines into one regional team, and lift conversion so that specifications and quotes translate into secured business. The State Manager will play a lead role in the people side of change as new systems and a consistent sales methodology are embedded to drive a culture of accountability and performance.
The successful candidate will be an experienced state, regional or national sales leader with a track record of improving team performance, driving behavioural change and delivering profitable growth in an industrial products, electrical, building products or similarly technical B2B environment. Direct product experience is not essential. More important is a credible coaching style, a strong understanding of multi-channel selling and the ability to build engaged, accountable teams through trust rather than micromanagement. Interstate candidates open to relocating to Melbourne are welcomed.
