Job summary

Splunk is seeking a Solutions Engineer for the Melbourne-based Shared Services team. You will partner with sales and engineering to drive customer engagements across Australia and New Zealand, delivering technical demonstrations, workshops and PoCs that showcase Splunk capabilities in security, observability and IT operations.

You will build dashboards and use cases, translate business goals into technical outcomes, and support multiple stakeholders across a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Presales, Technical Consulting, Professional Services, Customer Success, Technical Support or Engineering.
• Experience working with customers to understand requirements, solve technical challenges and deliver positive outcomes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Security or Security Operations, Observability, Monitoring or IT Operations, Cloud, Infrastructure or Platform Technologies, Data Analytics, Logging or Operational Intelligence, Enterprise Software Solutions

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering teams to support customer engagements across ANZ.
• Participate in customer discovery conversations to understand business goals, technical challenges and desired outcomes.
• Deliver engaging demonstrations aligned to customer requirements and use cases.
• Support workshops, proof-of-concept activities and technical validation engagements.
• Build dashboards, searches and use cases that showcase practical customer outcomes.
• Help customers understand the value of Splunk across Security, Observability and IT Operations.
• Collaborate with account teams, partners and internal stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
• Identify customer challenges and recommend practical next steps.
• Balance multiple priorities while maintaining clear communication and strong stakeholder engagement.
