Job summary

SSEL Electrical Group, a growing Queensland electrical and renewable energy company specialising in residential and commercial solar, battery storage and electrical services, seeks a commercially driven Business Development Manager to establish, develop and lead our sales division.

You will work directly with the Managing Director to develop sales operations, build processes, and drive new business across residential and commercial markets, with ownership of the sales function as the division

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solar or renewable energy sales.
• Ability to generate leads, negotiate and close sales.
• Strong understanding of residential solar and battery storage.
• Experience in business development or sales leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop SSEL’s sales division, including sales processes, reporting and customer management systems.
• Identify and secure new residential and commercial solar, battery and electrical opportunities.
• Manage incoming enquiries and actively prospect for new business.
• Conduct client consultations, site assessments and sales presentations.
• Prepare accurate quotes and proposals in collaboration with our technical and operations teams.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to contract signing.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, businesses and industry partners.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Monitor sales performance, maintain an accurate pipeline and report directly to management.
• Support the recruitment, development and leadership of additional sales staff as the division expands.
