Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is seeking a Service Sales and Tendering Specialist in Brisbane to lead end-to-end bid responses, coordinate technical, commercial, operational and contractual inputs, and develop competitive service solutions aligned with customer needs.

The role requires strong costing, pricing, margin analysis and contract-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids within demanding timelines and collaborate across sales, engineering, operations and legal teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in tendering, proposals, commercial management or a comparable position.
• Technical understanding of service solutions, preferably within electrical/energy sectors.
• Strong costing, pricing, margin analysis and financial modelling capabilities.
• Knowledge of contractual terms, commercial risk and contract-management principles.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and competing priorities within tight submission timelines.
• Strong stakeholder-management and project-coordination skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical capability and structured problem-solving.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to present complex technical and commercial information.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end preparation of responses to customer inquiries, RFQs and formal tenders.
• Coordinate technical, commercial, operational and contractual inputs to deliver accurate, compliant proposals.
• Develop optimised service solutions aligning customer needs with technical capabilities.
• Translate customer needs into defined scopes, deliverables and execution strategies.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, pricing models and commercial offers while targeting profitability.
• Conduct margin analysis and identify opportunities to improve cost competitiveness.
• Review commercial terms and conditions with legal and other stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate technical, commercial and contractual risks during tendering.
• Support Sales and Business Units in integrating service offerings into broader proposals.
• Contribute to bid reviews, win/loss analysis and improvement of tendering tools and processes.
