Job summary

Mackay City Auto Group is seeking a Service Advisor to join our Service Department in Mackay. You will be the key link between customers and the workshop, ensuring proactive communication and a seamless service experience from booking to handover.

We value people who enjoy helping others, solve problems, and work well in a fast-paced team. Automotive or customer service backgrounds are encouraged, with formal licensing requirements met locally.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service, service advisory, hospitality, retail, or customer-facing role.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Automotive experience is highly regarded; however, we're equally interested in people from retail, hospitality, or other customer service backgrounds who are passionate about creating great customer experiences and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the service journey.
• Welcome customers and manage service bookings efficiently and professionally.
• Listen actively to customer concerns and identify the best solutions for their needs.
• Keep customers informed with clear, proactive updates throughout the servicing process.
• Liaise closely with technicians and parts staff to ensure smooth workflow and positive outcomes.
• Communicate service recommendations and repair requirements in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.
• Prepare estimates, invoices, and service documentation accurately.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any concerns promptly.
• Build strong customer relationships that drive loyalty and repeat business.
• Contribute to a positive team culture by supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge.
• Help achieve customer satisfaction, retention, and department performance goals.
