Job summary

Reef Marine in Central QLD is seeking a full-time Service Advisor to support our Service Manager and Technicians. You will provide exceptional customer service face-to-face and over the phone, identify service requirements, prepare quotes, and schedule jobs in a fast-paced workshop environment.

You will liaise with customers and staff to provide accurate advice, deliver a positive customer experience at every stage, and contribute to smooth workshop operations in Mackay region.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and clear communication with customers and staff.
• Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple quotes and tasks.
• Intermediate computer skills for data entry and quotes management.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service face-to-face and via phone.
• Identify make/model and service requirements of customers’ motors.
• Prepare and deliver quotes for service work.
• Schedule jobs according to daily workload and hours.
• Communicate with customers about service progress, delays, and needs.
• Process warranty quotes and liaise with insurance companies as needed.
• Maintain and update the customer database.

We have an exciting full-time Service Advisor position available.

Working Mon-Fri in our service department, you will support our Service Manager and Technicians to provide exceptional customer service.

About Reef Marine

Reef Marine is Central QLD's largest marine dealer. Our store consists of a modern, fully equipped workshop with the latest test and service equipment, an extensive spare parts and chandlery section and knowledgeable sales and finance department.

We are looking for candidates who take pride in their work, to join our small team of 20 employees. Working closely together in a fast-paced environment, we are a skilled and enthusiastic team.

As Service Advisor you will

• Provide professional customer service both face to face and via phone
• Correctly identify the make, model and service requirements of the customers outboard
• Prepare and deliver quotes
• Schedule jobs according to daily work load and available hours
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding service jobs, including discussing technical information, delays and further requirements
• Process warranty work quotes and liaise with insurance companies
• Maintain and update customer database

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Organised and a keen eye for detail
• Intermediate computer skills
• An honest and reliable work ethic
• A desire to succeed and self-develop
• Sound knowledge of the marine or automotive industry would be preferred but not essential
• Prior experience in a similar role at a truck, car or agricultural dealership would be highly regarded

As an integral part of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers are kept up to speed on the servicing of their motors at every stage. You will liaise with both customers and staff to provide accurate advice and options. You will be required to deliver an exceptional experience in a fast paced environment.
