Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced leader to head real-time coordination at the Transport Management Centre (TMC) in Eveleigh, Sydney. This full-time role oversees a 24/7 frontline workforce, guiding multi-disciplinary teams through major incidents and high-demand periods.

You will mentor teams, provide strategic advice to executives, build cross-agency partnerships, and drive a culture of accountability and high performance across NSW's transport operations.

Qualifications

• Extensive frontline leadership experience in traffic management, transport operations or network management.
• Experience leading large operational teams in a 24/7 multi-stakeholder environment.
• Available to work across a seven-day roster, with additional hours when operationally required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the real-time coordination of Transport Management Centre operations.
• Provide clear direction across multiple functions and operating centres during major incidents.
• Apply traffic management and transport operations to assess network conditions and prioritise resources.
• Mentor and develop frontline workforce and foster a high-performing culture.
• Advise senior executives and coordinate statewide briefings with stakeholders.
